ChampionX has an immediate need for a Compensation Analyst located in Sugar Land, TX.

The Compensation Analyst provides advice on global broad-based compensation programs ensuring market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness. The role is both hands-on and consultative, and requires working collaboratively with international, regional and/or country HR / Compensation colleagues to provide oversight and consultation on compensation design and administration. The Analyst will develop and maintain domestic and global guiding principles for the enterprise with respect to base salary management, job and levelling structures, market pricing, short and long-term incentive plans, merit, and assists with the programming of all software tools which support these programs. Working in close partnership with key internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts, this analyst will ensure focus, governance and alignment to the global rewards philosophy. The analyst will also provide advice for M&A compensation-related due-diligence and integration, and other ad hoc compensation issues and opportunities.

Specifically, the Compensation Consultant will:

  • Design, implement and administer various global compensation structures including job catalog, job leveling, grade or band structure, market pricing, and program eligibility structures.
  • Develop, implement and administer short-term and long-term incentive programs, supporting the programming of software systems which manage the incentive programs.
  • Work closely with consultants globally to conduct benchmark analysis to identify trends in the industry and competitors to provide competitive and cutting-edge compensation programs on a global basis
  • Provide consultation and guidance to country HR partners related to compensation topics.
  • Design and implement communication programs to enhance the value of compensation programs and increase employee understanding and engagement
  • Partner with Finance to manage and evaluate the costs and accruals of all compensation programs to optimize cost and performance.
  • Maintain compensation plan documentation including plan documents and policies.
  • Consult on M&A compensation-related work for the enterprise

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in a compensation or related human resources role
  • Familiarity with market pricing strategies and approaches
  • High proficiency with spreadsheet applications such as Excel
  • Immigration Sponsorship is not available for this role.

  • Experience administering multi-country compensation programs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, negotiating and coaching skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to handle high levels of ambiguity
  • Team orientation to engage and partner with regional and country teams, as well as corporate functions
  • Ability to think strategically and handle difficult and complex issues that cut across multiple functions, countries, and businesses
  • Prior experience with Workday
