The Procurement Specialist is responsible for verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment. This position will also schedule delivery of products to the corresponding COE and/or parties requesting products.
In alignment with our Finance vision, this position will support the transformation of care for the neediest populations by being committed to business focused self-development, through the generation and use of information to support business leadership in driving great decisions, optimizing performance and ensuring accountability through transparency, actionable insights and education.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verifies purchases requisitions by comparing items to established master list, clarifying unclear items and recommending alternativesÂ

Prepares and process purchase orders by verifying specification and price; obtaining recommendation from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from leader for substitute ordersÂ

Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipment in error with suppliersÂ

Provides Workday business process supportÂ

Resolves issues with suppliers of goods and services. Â

Solicits quotes from selected vendorsÂ
-
Oversees, reviews and finalizes office supply ordersÂ

Maintains accurate and retrievable records.Â

Prepares and processes purchase ordersÂ

Coordinates delivery of productÂ

Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.Â

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

High School Diploma Â

Associate Degree preferredÂ

No prior experience requiredÂ

Purchasing and/or budget experience preferredÂ
