The Senior Manager, Finance will analyze complex financial activities and provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.
In alignment with our Finance vision, this position will support the transformation of care for the neediest populations by systematically developing business focused finance talent who generate and use information to drive great decisions, optimize performance and ensure accountability through transparency, actionable insights and education.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides complex financial reports and interprets financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.Â

Researches and advises on investment activities and recommends strategies that the company should take.Â

Maintains the financial health of the organization.Â

Analyzes costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.Â

Supports corporate leadership through the annual and multi-year (strategic) planning process including development of financial targets, key metrics, financial projections and alignment of financial and operating objectives.Â

Develops trends and projections for the firm’s finances.Â

Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Develops and executes plans to implement. Â

Oversees operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.Â

Develops in-depth financial, variance, and trending analyses for key profitability drivers and metrics, with focus on presentation to management. Interprets results and articulates actionable recommendations that maximize profitability and ensure financial targets are achieved.Â

Manages the preparation of the company’s budget.Â

Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.Â

Corresponds with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.Â

Manages and directs the efforts of his/her team and is responsible for hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, managing performance, developing and engaging personnel, in order to maintain a skilled and productive workforce to meet or exceed ChenMed’s business goals. Â

Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.Â
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patternsÂ

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present technical information in an easily understood manner Â

Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being usedÂ

Effective project management skills with the ability to gain cooperation from cross-functional teamsÂ

Ability to analyze/synthesize multiple data sources to develop deep understanding of financial dynamics, identify and prioritize opportunities, and spot trends Â

Strong financial acumen, problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detailÂ

A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principlesÂ

Robust knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulationsÂ

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database software Â

Experience with Workday and Adaptive Systems a plusÂ

Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 10% of the timeÂ

Spoken and written fluency in EnglishÂ

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

Bachelor’s degree; experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis above the minimum experience requiredÂ

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and/or MBA preferredÂ
-
Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience Â
-
Proven experience as a Financial ManagerÂ
-
Experience in a supervisory role Â

Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as Financial AnalystÂ
-
Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plusÂ
