The Strategic Workforce Planning team ensures we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right job, at the right time. The Workforce Analyst role is the first point of contact for the enterprise-wide workforce planning processes and tools, helping to ensure Chevron has the talent and workforce in place to deliver its long-term business strategy and emerging skill needs. This role is responsible for day-to-day coordination of workforce planning activities as well as short-term support of legacy applications along with long-term support of new workforce planning technologies in collaboration with IT support teams. The Workforce Analyst conducts analysis of workforce data and builds predictive models which include demographics, hiring, and attrition. This role collaborates with talent managers to develop standardized metrics and reporting as well as consolidating workforce data for use in enterprise analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Develop and deliver workforce plans for long-term skill needs (including sourcing guidance) for all the business segments and functions
Collaborate with HR teams to forecast skills and people to integrate with strategic plans
Use predictive and integrated analytics to identify future upskilling and hiring needs
Collaborate with functional groups to interpret workforce analytics results and business needs, applying a range of planning scenarios to forecast long-term enterprise-wide skill and staffing needs
Conduct market analysis to determine talent supply and guide business on long-term sourcing strategies
Monitor progress against milestones, assessing for continuous improvement and adjusting the plan to address new workforce issues
Conduct workforce gap analyses to identify mitigation strategies including operational effectiveness, risks, and workforce trends
Bachelor degree and/or related certifications
2+ years experience with strategic workforce planning (ex: Workforce Analyst, Workforce Planner, Staffing Analyst)
Experience with related workforce planning systems (ex: Workday, Adaptive Planning)
2+ year experience with energy industry
2+ years experience with reporting and analytics (ex: PowerBI, business intelligence, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning)
Relocation may be considered.
