Analyst, Benefits and Absence

Department: Human Resources

Location: Service Center, 4204 Industriel Blvd. Industrial, Laval, Quebec H7L 0E3 

Type: Temporary 18 months, Full-time

THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Department Manager, within the Benefits team, the Benefits, Disability and Absence Analyst will be responsible for providing full support to the company’s employees across Canada in the area of benefits, disability and absence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better:  

  • Guide employees and validate data integrity during enrollment and benefit changes;

  • Analyze employee choices in the selection of benefits offered by the company at the national level and correct any anomalies identified;

  • Measure utilization trends and propose recommendations for the development of our benefits;

  • Analyze and prepare reconciliations of contributions to group plans;

  • Work closely with the Payroll department to ensure the proper management of benefits;

  • Support the Financial Accounting and Payroll Accounting team in the preparation of the period-end process;

  • Prepare expense tracking analyses for external service partners;

  • Ensure the management of disability files;

  • Analyze and ensure proper management of group insurance premium payments;

  • All other related tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or other related discipline OR equivalent experience;

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience;

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others); Ability to;

  • Be meticulous, autonomous, show initiative and have a good analytical mind;

  • Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;

  • Knowledge of Workday is an asset;

Language skills:

  • Bilingualism (French and English) essential; both oral and written.
