What We Offer 

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is between $100,000.00 – $135,000.00 depending on years of experience, education and internal equity. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.   

In this position you can expect to work on site at least 3 days per week at the Denver International Airport.

What You’ll Do 

Denver International Airport’s Business Technologies Division is seeking a highly qualified Technology Vendor Management Administrator to provide services and expertise in all areas of vendor lifecycle and performance management. This role will be responsible for supporting Business Technologies’ technical subject matter experts with designated technology vendor relationships from selection and onboarding through performance management and, when appropriate, offboarding. The individual will work on a team of IT budget and procurement administrators, reporting to the Director of IT Business Operations and performing other Business Technologies budget and procurement work when needed.

Job duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Assist in the development and processing of Business Technologies statements of work and contracts, including participating in drafting RFP for professional/services contracts and evaluating proposals.
  • Work with Technical Subject Matter Experts and DEN Legal to draft binding and effective service level agreement (SLA) language to protect DEN assets, and incorporate SLA language into the contract, task order, purchase order, or other procurement vehicle as appropriate.
  • With Technical SMEs, meet regularly with assigned vendors to review performance against documented standards. Document the results of the meetings for future audits.
  • Work with teams to document and address service interruptions with assigned vendors. Negotiate and assess any penalties due.
  • In collaboration with the BT Budget and Procurement team, administer the contracts for compliance and expenditures. Assist the technical SME to forecast future spend and ensure adequate funding has been planned for and allocated. When needed, work with DEN Legal and SMEs to draft contract amendments or extensions.
  • Participate in the formation of Business Technologies’ operating policies and procedures, provide advice and interpretative information pertaining to policies and procedures, evaluate proposed changes to policies and procedures including the merit and overall impact of changes, and make recommendations. Coach and train Business Technologies staff on policies and procedures.
  • Assist to develop strategies to ensure compliance to regulations and requirements, monitor and assesses compliance, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Prior experience or demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Technologies specific contracts
    • Budgeting principles and practices
    • Various types of contracts
    • Techniques for contracting and procurement
    • Contract negotiation and administration
    • ServiceNow

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field based on a specific position(s)
  • Experience: Three (3) years of technical or administrative experience performing research and evaluation OR three years of experience performing technical and administrative duties within the related functional area. (Some positions may require experience in a specific area)
  • Education and Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees may be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
