Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least two days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.

About Technology Services

The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver is using state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications and operations that we deliver to our customers. Technology Services supports the people, agencies and ideas that make the City and County of Denver world class city. About Application Services

The Application Services division provides software solutions that increase efficiency, automate processes, improve customer service, and achieve city objectives. Applications partners with city agencies/department to assess technology needs, identify solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and validate that expectations are met. From citywide platforms to business specific tools, this division handles the procurement, development, implementation, integration, quality assurance/testing, maintenance, and support for more than 300 applications, including their underlying systems and databases.

As a Workday Developer Associate on our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Workday application. This includes developing new features and enhancements, as well as fixing bugs. The developer will work closely with the product/project managers, analysts, business users and other developers to ensure that the product meets the needs of our customers.

Additionally, as a Workday Developer Associate, you can expect to:

  • Develop new features and enhancements to the Workday application
  • Integrate with REST and SOAP endpoints as well as batch file transfers in Workday Studio
  • Fix bugs in the Workday application
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure that the product meets customer needs
  • Communicate with Product Managers and Designers to understand customer needs
  • Follow best practices for coding and testing
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Deploying code to various environments according to the SDLC
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

About You

We are looking for someone with some or all the following skills and experience:

  • Functional experience in the areas of Finance, HCM, or Payroll/Time Tracking, Report Writing, Security or Workday integrations

  • Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of professional level experience implementing and maintaining middleware systems.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.

$80,000.00 – $95,000.00/year, based on education and experience
