In this role as the Workday Security Architect, you will be responsible for overall security architecture and governance across the Workday platform. This role is responsible for ensuring the right people have access to the right areas of the system and to access to the right team members.  Key auditing is in place for data integrity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possesses accountability for data integrity, including quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability (includes core systems and related interfaces). Maintains data integrity of people application systems through pro-active means (audits, reports, etc.).

  • Responsible for overall security strategy, design, configuration, enhancements and support. 

  • Builds custom reports to ensure data integrity and compliance. Provide security reports to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Performs ongoing data, applications, and integration audits to ensure compliance.

  • Serves as a core stakeholder in the system change management process ensuring proper security for Workday changes moving to Production. 

  • Monitors service tickets for compliance.

  • Performs quarterly user access and annual SOC reviews.

  • Upgrades / New Features – Assess, plan, test and launch new feature with each Workday Upgrade as related to security and auditing. Team member on the biannual release team.

  • Troubleshoots security issues and identify and resolve root causes of issues.

  • Responsible for tenant access and refreshes.

  • Understands business needs and capture requirements.

  • Builds strong internal relationships with key business leaders to define and understand strategic and tactical data requirements.

  • Proactively works with the team to continuously improve system security configuration and reporting to advance the quality of information provided to stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 2+ years relevant Workday experience, including domains, business processes, and security groups

  • Knowledge of support ticketing system a plus, preferably ServiceCloud.

  • Workday reporting experience a plus.

  • Excellent PC Software knowledge and database reporting tools including Excel.

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively assist system users to resolve problems and questions.

  • Ability to communicate, present and interact effectively with all levels of management with effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a face pace environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors as well as people within the organization.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage their own time with little direction from management, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, remain organized, prioritize work, assist with multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
