JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for all aspects of US and Canada multi-jurisdictional Payroll utilizing ADP Enterprise V5 HR/Payroll software (Workday as the HRIS System), including tax reporting, year-end processing and special projects.

Additional responsibilities include preparation of journal entries and account reconciliation, assisting with the monthly financial close in a fast paced Finance department.  The successful candidate will be a team player, resourceful, self-motivated and highly organized.  The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

•    Liaison with Human Resources and other departments to gather and to facilitate resolution of payroll issues.
•    Responsible for managing and processing payroll for US payroll utilizing ADP on a biweekly pay frequency.
•    Manage all payroll functions with patience, adaptability to adapt to constant changing requirements on payroll.
•    Communicate with Commvault’s ADP client representatives’ for any open issues including earnings, deductions, and taxes to ensure all are handled in accordance with each state’s guidelines.
•    Ensure appropriate tax treatment for all payroll transactions.
•    Own and maintain relationship with payroll representatives to remain current on regulations and determine best practices.
•    Recommend changes in methods or procedures to improve efficiency to payroll functions to ensure requirements are met.
•    Communicate with all employees in support of payroll and ADP self-service questions. 
•    Understand payroll related accounting to prepare required payroll journal entries and reconciliations for month end/year end reporting including bank account reconciliations.
•    Prepare reports utilizing ADP Reporting, ADP Enterprise V5 Query Tool and NetSuite
•    Complete all Year-End tasks.
•    Communication with manager regarding issues that may need to be resolved.
•    Manage team Answer questions and review work from the Payroll Administrator
•    Comply with Commvault’s company policies and controls.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

•    Minimum 5  years’ experience managing a multi-state payroll on ADP Ev5 for over 500 employees. 
•    Prior experience with payroll software required 
•    Previous experience with Workday and ADP Ev5 together a plus
•    Prior experience in Finance/Accounting preferred
•    Proficient with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
•    College graduate with major/concentration in accounting desired
