Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for modeling the 3 Company values of Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence, and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the analysis and reporting of financial performance across the organization. This position develops and conducts complex financial analyses to support operational and strategic objectives.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and modify financial forecasting models, return on investment analyses, and key performance metric scorecards.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis using data from various systems and package recommendation into clear and concise presentations.
  • Identify variances, trends, and risk/opportunities by utilizing both internal and external data.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and collaborate with Operations, Accounting, and other functional areas.
  • Lead and improve reporting process to reduce time and assist business in decision-making.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Planful cost centers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Finance or a related field required.
  • Advanced financial modeling experience and skills required.
  • Prior experience and proficiency in financial reporting systems (e.g. Workday Financial) preferred.
  • Prior experience with forecasting software (e.g. Planful or Adaptive Planning) preferred.
  • Prior experience with PowerBI or Tableau preferred.


  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in ambiguity and manage multiple deadlines. Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in PowerPoint. Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy.
