The Manager, People Partner will support Conde Nast’s Global Editorial Organization by delivering people initiatives, programs, and processes that help drive business results while enhancing company culture.  Under the guidance of the VP, People Business Partner, the Manager will deliver operational and consultative support to internal client groups across all editorial brands and support functions. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to roll up their sleeves and problem-solve anything that comes their way. Based on the needs of our team and clients, we are constantly evolving how we work and who we work with.


  • Provide day-to-day operational support on all people matters such as employee relations, staffing & recruiting, job descriptions, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Support the implementation of various people programs such as performance management, promotions, and compensation reviews.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business to apply necessary people practices to enhance business performance and culture.
  • Define and track key HR metrics for the team, working closely with the HR Coordinator to support data and reporting projects such as headcount, turnover, job architecture, compensation analysis, etc.
  • Manage the discreet, timely, and effective investigation and resolution of a wide range of employee relations matters, offering thoughtful counsel to employees and acting as a champion of our culture, standards, and people practices.
  • Build and grow credibility, trust, and strong working relationships with client groups.
  • Assist with identifying potential training needs for client groups and partnering with Talent Development COE to coordinate participation in relevant programs.
  • Work collaboratively with Recruitment, HR Operations, Legal, Finance, and other Centers of Excellence on employee-related matters such as offer negotiations, investigations, compliance, data reporting, etc.


  • Undergraduate degree and 4-5 years professional Human Resources experience as a Generalist of HR Business Partner
  • Previous experience in the media/entertainment or advertising/marketing industries and/or in global organizations is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, proactive, entrepreneurial thinker, and solutions oriented style
  • Process and detail oriented, including strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and strong working relationships
  • High EQ with ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
  • Experienced with employee relations and/or investigation processes
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets with an analytical mindset
  • Workday HRIS knowledge/experience is a plus
