Job Title

Sr Workday Analyst

The Senior Workday Analyst will support our internal business partners, the HR team and the organization in the technical support, development and on-going maintenance of all aspects our HR related systems. Will be the point person for system enhancements, modifications, and major data analysis requests. Should be advanced in all aspects of supporting the Workday HCM module along with two other supporting modules; Recruiting, Benefits, Security, Talent, Compensation or Learning. The position assists junior team members on advanced system concepts, configuration and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

System Support & Problem Resolution

  • Participate in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Workday configuration.
  • Work closely with key business partners to understand business processes, goals, enhancement opportunities, while providing consultative solutions.
  • Regularly perform system audits to ensure the efficiency of processes and data integrity/accuracy.
  • Apply technical expertise to the most complex HRIS issues.
  • Provide support for Workday, including researching and resolving Workday problems, unexpected results, or process flaws.
  • Analyze errors, utilize resources such as Workday community to drive resolutions and root cause analysis.
  • Perform data uploads into Workday as needed (EIB).
  • Develop, test, and project plans for upgrades/new functionality to assigned Domains.
  • Document and evaluate business requirements and business processes while recommending process improvements.
  • Create calculated fields, conditional logic calculations, etc. within Workday to support the Payroll, Time & Absence, and Benefit modules.
  • Coordinate activity for new releases including education and communication.

Payroll, Benefit, and other HR Reporting

  • Able to anticipate, draw conclusions, and adapt to changing needs as well as engage with business partners across multiple functional areas to gather, clarify, and document requirements.
  • Partner with business functions to understand and interpret reporting requirements.
  • Identify additional needs based on analysis of requirements.
  • Educate and promote self-service reporting functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies.
  • Run and distribute scheduled reports and support business requests for ad hoc report generation.
  • Develop and maintain HR and other business reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Ensure dashboard reporting and embedded analytics supports HR security and access protocols.
  • Design and manage large-scale analytical projects leading to talent-based business decisions and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain report catalog to enable end users to get needed reports from Workday.
  • Actively participate in Workday Community by contributing to content, voting on Brainstorms, etc.
  • Run and distribute scheduled reports and support business requests for ad hoc report generation (particularly within the Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Absence modules).
  • Writing, customizing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports.

Workday Modules Support

Payroll:

  • Lead and participate in the optimization of Workday Payroll modules.
  • Configure and maintain the Payroll module functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues in collaboration with HR and Finance teams.
  • Work with the Payroll and IT Corporate Application teams to ensure accurate payroll information is captured for the supporting payroll integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.

Benefits:

  • Administer and enhance Workday Benefits modules.
  • Collaborate with Benefits and HR teams to ensure accurate benefits administration.
  • Work with the Benefits and IT Corporate Application teams to ensure accurate benefit information, eligibility, etc. is captured for the supporting benefit integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve benefits-related issues in a timely manner.

Absence:

  • Configure and maintain Workday Absence modules, including but not limited to implementing new accrual plans, updating and maintaining existing functionality.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of employee absences.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on absence-related processes.
  • Work with the Payroll, Benefits, and IT Corporate Application teams to ensure accurate absence information is captured for the supporting integrations.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related area.
  • Workday certification a plus.

Experience:

  • 3 to 4 years of experience with Workday.
  • Core HCM experience is a must.

Technical and Functional Skills/Requirements:

  • Understand object-oriented architecture.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience supporting at least 2 out of 3 Workday modules below, with expectations of learning and supporting the third.

  • Knowledge of Workday domains, data structures and reporting functional areas (e.g. within Core HCM, Benefits, Time & Absence, and Payroll).
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables.
  • Ability to educate end users, including the creation of User Guides and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time accordingly.
  • Attention to detail with a knowledge of how Workday functional areas interact and intersect.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint (creating graphics, charts).
  • Prior experience with data governance, auditing, and creating standards/documentation.
  • Prior experience with project management tools and skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Experience supporting a global customer base.

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary: USD 105,000.00 – USD 120,000.00
