Role Description: Joining the human resources team at CoStar Group, you will contribute to the creation of a highly successful, fast paced, growth oriented, global organization.  Our people vision and strategy are aligned with CoStar Group’s overall business objectives, and at its core is centered on attracting, retaining, and developing diverse talent in the communities that we operate within.Â
As the Director, HR Business Partner, he/she will develop and deploy the people strategy for a large internal client group. He/She will drive the strategy at a high level working with the senior stakeholders. He/She will need to be creative and proactive in their approach, have a keen understanding of business objectives and ability to execute flawlessly. He/She will act as a mentor and coach to their team, advisor to business stakeholders and act as a though leader within the HR Business Partner function.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Act as an advisor and partner for executive leadership on all people related matters and provide HR Business Process for all levels of the organization.
- Possess a keen understanding of the overarching strategy of the business with the ability to counsel leaders to enable growth of the business, drive retention and develop career strategies of our people
- Predict, assess and determine business needs in the areas of organizational design, staffing, performance management, succession planning, development and communication plans
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Monitor and resolve morale issues and leadership effectiveness that leads to the successful achievement of business goals and employee satisfaction
- Partner with other HR functions to identify, evaluate and drive forward key training and development courses that hone strong talent at all levels of the organization.Â
- Contribute to the strategy and development of a best in class HR organization
- Mitigate and analyze situations to resolve complex HR challenges that arise and advise senior leaders with actionable items to mitigate issues and concerns to always protect the company
- Lead discussions with senior leaders to provide data and insights related to employee survey results, performance management, and attrition/retention to develop enhanced people strategies
- Develop enhanced people related communication strategies that drive engagement
Basic Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a strategic role advising business executives on people related strategies
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise across HR functions including – Organizational Design, Talent Development, Workforce Planning and Compensation planning
- Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Experience working within the Workday HRIS platform
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Experience within the commercial real estate industry or digital marketplace strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively resolve issues through active listening, good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations
- Demonstrated ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters
- Successful candidate will be self-directed with demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage time
