Senior Business Analyst (Workday)

Job Description Summary

The Senior Technical Business Analyst (Workday) supports the Employee Experience & Services teams in making high-impact, data-driven decisions. The Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for the development of Technical Specification documents and procedural documentation, ensuring global alignment of system configuration and data architectures. This role develops and ensures quality assurance strategies, and partners with cross functional teams (TDS, HR, Finance, etc..) to enable process, data, and reporting quality and consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop documentation including, business requirements, technical requirements, concept papers, and design specifications
  • Manage vendor configuration Workbooks, and translate business requirements in vendor’s configuration workbook as required, obtain sign-off
  • Serve as a resource in the areas of solution architecture, relational data base design, networking and communications, systems analysis, systems programming, systems administration, job scheduling or a combination of specialties.
  • Manage/coordinate cross-functional workshops between multiple internal teams and external vendors. Document meeting minutes and lead the action follow-ups.
  • Take a lead role in the evaluation, development and implementation of solutions and provide recommendations for alternate solutions and approaches
  • Facilitate workshops and running interviews and converting discussions and actions into business analysis artefacts
  • Participate in the design and preparation of user and system test scenarios and plans, and coordination of user acceptance testing
  • Identification of risks and issues, identifying proposed solutions while analyzing the impact

Skills and Experience

  • At least 5 years Workday experience as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Experienced in end-to-end Workday functional implementation & payroll integration implementation.
  • Have in-depth understanding of at least 3 Workday modules, Core HCM and Absence are essential (Being Workday Certified is preferred)
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills combined with the ability to lead Workshop/group discussions
  • HR experience is essential, and payroll experience is desired.
  • Ability to perform in a complex and ambiguous environment where lines of ownership may not always be clear.
  • Able to communicate complex messages and outputs from their analysis in a confident, clear and simple way.
