The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll services are delivered accurately, timely and compliant with Company policies and Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements for all company locations including domestic and international payrolls.
Responsibilities:

Process multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for all company employees accurately and in a timely manner

Process international payrolls accurately and timely following the schedule for each country

Responsible for keeping abreast of Federal, State and Local regulatory changes and develops internal and external communications relative to these changes

Develops procedures to ensure data integrity audits and integration with benefits, HRIS and payroll systems

Ensures compliance with internal control standards and regulatory requirements

Supports the execution of SOX, internal audits, external and government audits

Review, analyze and verify payroll reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments through established procedures

Process out of sequence payrolls as necessary

Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets prior to processing payroll

Reconcile payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments and benefit/voluntary deductions

Research, analyze and resolve problems or questions presented by employees or managers utilizing knowledge of accepted payroll practices, company policy and the payroll system functionality

Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms and adjusting payroll records

Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports as needed by management and accounting/finance

Coordinate efforts between Payroll and Human Resources to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (status and personnel changes, tax withholding, benefit deductions, etc.)

Maintain employee records in Workday

Maintain a system for multi-jurisdictional payrolls and tax reporting processes, oversees, recommends, and implements the setup of new states and municipalities from a payroll standpoint with the growth of the company organically

Ensure systems and controls are set up accurately within Workday systems to ensure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines

Process quarterly and annual bonus payments as well as commission payments for both US and International locations

Work closely with Finance and Accounting on all payroll-related issues

Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential

Primary contact for payroll and tax vendors
Qualifications:
-
7 years payroll processing experience which includes at least 2 years’ experience having the majority responsibility for payroll processing functions within an organization

Experience processing multi-state, multi-location and international payrollÂ
-
Experience using Workday is required

Experience using CloudPay for international payroll preferred

Strong quantitative and analytical skills; previous experience in an accounting-focused role with exposure to account reconciliations a plus

Detailed knowledge of payroll statutory requirements, including wage garnishment and wage attachment legal requirements

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks and priorities
-
Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines

Flexibility to work odd hours or hours dictated by the business to ensure payroll is processed successfully

Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels within an organization

Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information

Advanced Excel and reporting skills required

Sense of urgency in solving customer inquiries and requests to ensure timely resolution and ability to work effectively under pressure

Ability to work in team based environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience with electronic file processing which includes TXT, CSV, and XLS files
Education/Certifications:
-
Undergraduate degree in business or accounting preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree

CPP certification preferred
