The Workday subject matter expert will be responsible for maintaining, designing and innovating change specific to their functional area(s). They will engage with multiple teams at local, regional or global level and contribute to providing robust solutions against business priorities, and in line with the wider technical strategy, whilst ensuring system compliancy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for Workday Compensation/Benefits & Talent functionality, understanding of other modules, and general Workday system capabilities. 
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.  
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when configuring Workday and managing data. 
  • Ability to challenge demand requests and provide alternatives when appropriate.  
  • Stays up to date on Workday Releases/new features/patches, assessing their impact for dentsu and is able to advise stakeholders accordingly. 
  • Ensures platform compliancy. 

Experience and Skills –

  • Overall 12+ years’ experience out of which 4+ years of experience in Workday platform and related ecosystem
  • Experience in gathering requirements, design, configuration, and testing of Compensation/Benefits & Talent solutions.  
  • Expert knowledge of Workday Compensation/Advanced Compensation modules: ASR/Incentive cycles, Compensation Statements, Compensation Plans/Packages/Grades, OTPs, Allowances, Eligibility Rules, Business Processes, Custom Reports and EIBs, Scheduling, Web Services. 
  • Has delivered at least one annual Compensation Reward cycle 
  • Expert knowledge of Workday Talent module. Performance Reviews, Assess Potential, Goals, Professional Profile, Skills Eligibility Rules, Business Processes, Custom Reports, MOM, EIBs Strong knowledge of Workday Security/cross-functional architecture and testing strategies.  
  • Has delivered at least one annual Performance Review cycle 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. 
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with the business and co-workers in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust. 
  • Good problem solver with ability to consider alternative and diverse perspectives. 
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure seamless integration between Workday and other systems. 
  • Contributes to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and knowledge sharing initiatives to enhance the Workday platform. 
  • Exposure to Workday downstream integrations to ERP/CRM systems and associated challenges 
  • Experience of other Workday modules. 
  • Exposure to Integrations such as Payroll. 
  • Experience of at least one end to end Workday implementation project. 
  • Certifications such Certified Agile Product Owner, Certified Agile Scrum Master etc. 
  • Experience within a large, global organisation. 
  •  Workday Certification(s) would be preferred.
