Global HR Operations (GHRO)/Employee Experience Team is part of Diageo Business Services, providing HR and Learning Admin/Operations support to 23,000 employees in 70+ countries, worldwide and about 8,000 extended enterprise learners part of Joint Ventures and Diageo distributors. The team is a key enabler in employee & manager experience with regards to learning processes.
 

Process Excellence is an exciting new team created within the Employee Experience area. This team will own end-to-end People Processes, provide leading design and security expertise enabling delivery of world-class global standard, optimised experiences for our employees, and will provide both strategic and operational Partnership and Leadership to our HR COE teams, enabling the HR model of the future.

The HR Systems Security Lead has 3 main spans of control:  

Develop, implement, and govern security policies and procedures: The HR Systems Security Lead is responsible for creating and implementing security policies and procedures to protect the company's HR systems. This involves assessing security roles and profiles, risks, and vulnerabilities, establishing security controls, and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures. Govern and manage the adherence to policies through the establishment of security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks 

Managing access control: The HR Systems Security lead defines the process for the management of access controls to HR systems and data. This includes the process for granting and revoking user access, managing user roles and permissions, and ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information – including the auditing process to manage access against, ensuring that the experience is simple and user centric designed

Collaborate across teams and functions to develop and understand business requirements. Working with stakeholders from different departments to identify the types of data and processes that each group needs to access and what level of access is required to define and develop a security model that outlines the roles and permissions needed for each user group.

Accountable for the overall security of the access to our HRs enterprise applications including owning the framework that governs access to our systems          

  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement security controls Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
  • Own the user access and security permissions process and govern the adherence to it
  • Monitor system activity and investigate any security incidents
  • Provide security training and awareness to employees and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure security improvements are aligned with business and process objectives
  • Stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends
  • Provide technical guidance and support to GBO, D&T, and business owners across the organization
  • Define the standard security taxonomy, own the security standards
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional GPO connections.
  • Develop and implement security improvement, using automation and innovation initiatives that drive global alignment, efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency across the organization
  • Develop and manage metrics and reporting to measure security performance, identify areas for improvement, and track progress against targets partnering with GPOs and Global Data owners

Key Criteria to be successful in this role:

  • Previously completed Workday security-related training, certifications, or equivalent
  • Understand HR system security features and controls, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to understand business requirements and translate them into a security design solution
  • Good understanding of HR technology landscape and architecture 
  • Solid knowledge of HR Cloud Solutions such as Workday, ServiceNow, or other
  • Experience with Core HCM, business processes/ rules, HR profile security & inherited roles, reports, access control lists
  • Consultative ability to analyse business needs, develop and document business requirements, prototype, develop, and implement solutions
  • Ability to drive performance through others
  • You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage complex security projects.
