Position Summary: 

We are looking for an agile, creative and experienced Total Rewards leader with expertise in compensation and benefits. Managing and supporting our rewards programs, in collaboration with the team, will be your top priority. You’ll serve as a strategic lead defining our rewards roadmap in partnership with our Benefits Program Manager, outside consultant and VP of HR.  You’ll research, design, implement and administer best-in-class compensation programs, as well as benefit and wellbeing offerings that attract and retain our Partner Owners. 

What You’ll Do and Impact:

  • Lead Sr. Total Rewards Associate (focused on comp/ben programs) and collaborate with Benefits Program Manager and HR Operations to ensure our Partner rewards are communicated and delivered with excellence.

  • Design, implement, and maintain Direct Supply’s rewards strategy and roadmap for pay and benefit programs.

  • Guide and manage all compensation benchmarking activities.

  • Advise HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and leaders on competitive compensation and benefit strategies, tailored to support recruiting and retention goals.

  • Serve as subject matter expert and collaborate with the Total Rewards team to establish and communicate compensation and benefit program guidelines, manage exceptions, and provide creative solutions to challenges.

  • Leverage surveys and professional networks to understand relevant industry and organization-specific topics and issues to inform best practices at Direct Supply.

  • Manage and actively participate in annual compensation planning and review processes, including merit cycle, bonus processes, budget reports, etc.

  • Participate in the design, enhancement, and execution of variable pay programs.

  • Conduct ad-hoc compensation analysis, audits, and projects. Measure effectiveness and impact of programs.

  • Design, prepare and present the business case for newly proposed compensation and benefit offerings to drive informed decision making.

  • Work closely with Benefits Program Manager to facilitate cross-training on key benefit responsibilities and programs. Engage directly in benefit programs, as needed.

  • Partner with outside consultant to ensure efficiency and competitiveness of benefit and compensation plans.

  • Coordinate with team, carriers and legal counsel to ensure plans remain compliant, including annual 5500 filings, SARs, CMS, health care ordinance, notices, policy renewals, communication, etc.

  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated compensation and benefit matters for both current and former Partners and vendors. Function as a liaison between vendors and Partners as needed, assisting with complex compensation or benefit claim issues.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits administration, implementation, analysis, and compliance; knowledge of self-funded medical plans

  • 3+ years of experience cultivating high performing teams and developing team members to meet current/future business needs while achieving their career aspirations

  • Experience designing compensation and benefit programs for a highly technical workforce

  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, IRS regulations, etc. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency analyzing, interpreting and summarizing complex data, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management based on results of analysis

  • Proven ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Able to interact with all levels of management and Partner population

  • Possesses high attention to detail

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to build compelling proposals

  • Advanced Excel skills
