About the role 

Do you want to join us on an exciting HR change journey? We are looking for a Workday HCM Consultant to join our HR Foundations program.

As part of the HR foundations program, we are looking at improving and redefining access and processes in Workday. The core aspects for redefinition are the HR security groups and roles as well as the staffing (joiners, leavers, movers) processes.

As the HCM  Consultant, you will be responsible for (re-) configurating those. Leading the configuration activities for the staffing processes, you will be also partnering with security consultant to understand how the redesign of the security model impacts on the business processes, as well as taking part in design and testing activities. Further, the HR foundations program is establishing a Workday data dictionary, Workday Payroll feed and optimizing Workday Help which you might get involved into.

We are looking for you with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. You will be reporting to the technical lead of the program, Ron Steptoe and work closely with the whole – both technical and functional – program team.

About you  

You will succeed in the role if you have…

  • Workday System Configuration

    • Strong HCM knowledge

    • Thorough understanding of the business process framework with the ability to make recommendations on improvements and enhancements

    • Experience of rebuilding in a post-go-live/post-production environment

    • Comp Module knowledge would be advantageous

  • Experience of HR systems, design methodology and implementations

  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work using own initiative and an ‘always thinking’ approach to working.

  • Fluent language skills in English

Location:  The position is a fixed-term one-year contract based out of one of our European DS Smith sites with occasional travels.
