As a member of the Total Rewards team, the Payroll Administrator supports the processing of biweekly payroll and ensures that payroll is processed with speed and accuracy. This role serves as liaison to employees as well as third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies. Interprets and ensures adherence to policies and regulations such as, but not limited to: federal, state, and local tax withholding, exemptions, garnishments, and deductions. Documents and maintains payroll processes and procedures.


  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll
  • Generate bi-weekly control reports, payroll reports and monthly analysis for compensation team, accounting team, and management; assist with corrective action, interpretation, and reconciliation as needed
  • Ensure all payroll garnishments are withheld and deposited in accordance with applicable state laws
  • Assist management with audits related to the 401(k) Plan, worker’s compensation, unemployment and financial audits
  • Answer employee timecard and payroll questions via phone and email
  • Participate as needed in the implementation of new systems and/or system upgrades, including design, testing, and documentation of new processes
  • Maintain all supporting documents for compliance with ECMC Group policies, payroll policies, guidelines and laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • High School degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Payroll using a large ERP system


  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Workday experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources preferred
