The Enterprise Reporting Analyst will prepare and analyze ENMAX Corporation’s financial results and assist with process improvements as well as researching the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the Corporation.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze internal management reports

  • GL close and consolidation of monthly actuals and forecasts

  • Prepare external financial statements, note disclosures & MD&A as well as Corporate Scorecard

  • Perform monthly accounting entries and complex accounting journal entries as required

  • Research and interpret new IFRS reporting requirements for ENMAX, including providing detailed analysis and direction for the business as required

  • Recommend and implement continuous improvements on accounting entries, ERP systems, reporting processes

  • Support the audit process by preparing audit working papers and facilitating auditor requests relating to ENMAX financial statements

  • Develop in house accounting training for finance and operating business units

  • Review and approve ENMAX bank and other account reconciliations as required

Education Required:

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Professional accounting designation

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive financial analysis and accounting experience combined with at least 3 years of post-designation accounting experience

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Previous experience preparing management reports, external financial statements and notes

  • Strong financial reporting background with current knowledge of IFRS accounting standards

  • Background working with ERP systems (Workday Financials is considered an asset)

  • Experience in consolidations, FX and fair value MTM accounting entries an asset


  • Well-developed research and analytical skills

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to provide professional skepticism

  • A self-starter who can work independently, while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and interact with all levels in the organization

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 – 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
