The Opportunity:
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Engineer to design, develop, and implement seamless integrations between Workday and other systems. This role requires expertise in Workday integration technologies, API development, and data integration. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, IT, and third-party vendors to create efficient solutions for data flow, ensuring the integration is secure, accurate, and scalable. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the integrations and provide technical support for our organization’s Workday Human Capital (HCM) system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement integrations between Workday and various internal and external systems, including ERP, payroll, benefits, and other third-party applications.
- Utilize Workday Studio, Workday Web Services (WWS), and other Workday integration tools to build and maintain complex integrations.
- Work with the Workday integration platform to build, test, and deploy system-to-system data flows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues related to Workday and other connected systems.
- Design and implement custom APIs to facilitate communication between Workday and other business applications.
- Create, manage, and monitor RESTful and SOAP-based API integrations with internal and external systems.
- Ensure data is properly mapped, transformed, and loaded between Workday and other systems while ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Maintain and enhance existing integration solutions to ensure they continue to meet evolving business requirements
- Knowledge of programming languages such as XML and XSLT for data transformation
- Proficiency in Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence Management, and Performance Management
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday integrations and API development.
- Solid experience in designing, developing, and deploying API and data integrations (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as XSLT, XML, Web Services (REST, SOAP), and JSON.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Workday report writing, integrations, and security.
- Experience in functional areas like HCM business processes, Recruiting, Benefits and Payroll.
- Familiarity with Workday release management and change control processes
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Workday HCM certification required
