The Manager of Total Rewards will design and administer FHI’s benefits plan and provide leadership for workers’ compensation function.  Manages job description benchmarking and salary survey process.  Leads in the development of plans that ensure we are competitive, innovative, and compliant.

Essential Duties:
•    Manage and administer health programs including negotiating with insurance carriers and vendors, managing the broker and vendor relationships, overseeing annual renewals and open enrollment, developing cost analysis and annual recommendations for benefit plans and premiums, and developing processes and controls.
•    Create, maintain, and administer Total Rewards strategy to promote awareness, attraction, and help reduce attrition. 
•    Create, document, and maintain current pay practices and time off plans (incl. state sick leaves).  Makes recommendations for ways to improve attraction and retention through these programs.
•    Manage Benefit and 401(k) administration.
•    Compliance reporting related to compensation and benefits programs, including Worker’s Compensation. 401k, ACA, audits, and EEO-1 reporting.
•    Partners with HR Leadership in completing benchmarking job analysis and responsible for salary survey administration.
•    Participates in and advises the FHI Wellness Team.
•    Develop, maintain, and report on applicable HR analytics.
Other Duties:
•    Maintains in-depth knowledge and compliance of federal and state legal requirements, reducing legal risks; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Partners with the outside counsel as needed.
•    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies
•    Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications Required:
Education:  
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, Wellness)
  • Documented experience evaluating, designing and implementing compensation programs to ensure they’re competitive
  • Workday HCM, Compensation, and Advance Compensation knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Certifications through World at Work, HRCI, HCI, or SHRM a plus 
    Skills/Knowledge:
  • Sound knowledge of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements and resolve complex matters
  • Positive attitude and customer service-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational/prioritization skills with an ability to multi-task to manage multiple projects while maintaining a close attention to detail
  • Possess proven operational, interpersonal, project management, vendor management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Work Environment: 
    Office and work from home environment.  

Physical Demands:
•    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•    Must be able to travel 10-20%
