The Associate Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the administration of employee base salary and bonus programs, along with other compensation and HR data related activities. Performs analysis of various compensation related duties and makes recommendations. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
Conducts job and market pay analysis to determine appropriate salary recommendation on new jobs and FLSA status.
Supports the annual year-end salary/merit administration.
Assists in administering bonus processes.
Assists in the auditing of all data related to compensation and other employee data reviews.
Analyzes and displays data for various requests from leadership regarding employee data.
Constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency in compensation processes.
Reviews proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines and policies.
Participates in salary surveys and analyzes results to determine organization’s market relationship.
Analyzes compensation programs for compliance, trends and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
Maintains knowledge of compensation regulations and stays abreast of changes in those regulations.
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a focus in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or other related major and 0 – 2 years’ related experience in compensation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Power BI, or Google Suite equivalents. Experience with Workday is a plus.
