Job Summary

Working with a strong team of talent professionals, manage the delivery and creation of employee and leadership development programs for a Fortune 100 Best Places to work Company. Establish relationships with Human Resources and business leaders to understand and assess company needs for learning. Manage the design and identification of succession and talent planning processes, and key talent and successor development initiatives. Must have a passion for facilitating leadership programs and working in a highly collaborative environment.

Main Duties

Contribute to the successful implementation of our talent strategy that addresses development needs and supports major HR areas such as performance management, talent and succession planning, career development, leadership development, and Diversity, and Equity and Inclusion

Lead and foster collaboration, inspire, and influence across multiple organizational levels and functional units to establish standards, share best practices and provide high quality learning experiences for all audiences.

Partner with field Human Resources and other stakeholders to establish business and talent priorities, goals, milestones, and initiatives. Delivers learning and development related programs and initiatives that increase the diversity of the organization and create a culture of inclusion.  

Evaluate program effectiveness on an on-going basis. Identifies gaps by conducting needs assessment and consulting focused on leadership and employee development, and succession planning.

Provide recommendations on new or enhanced programs to close gaps, which include partnering with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to execute a plan to recruit external candidates, as well as benchmarking industry offerings, peers, and best-in-class to identify areas of curriculum opportunity.

Oversees online core training programs for employee development and compliance related programs. Works with talent development team, vendors/instructional designers, HR and HRIS to maximize online learning offerings (LMS) through Workday Learning.

Oversees the utilization of LMS (Workday) online learning to provide resources for employees to maximize access to learning and career development opportunities. Provides automated and enhanced succession and talent planning tools and reporting functionality.

Assists in establishing key metrics to drive, measures and reinforces talent strategy deliverables and activities to measure the success of talent development programs and practices.

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

Ability to collaborate with field Human Resources and business leaders to ensure deliverables are executed in alignment with business needs and goals.

Organizational Development and change management skills with experience partnering with businesses.

Experience in establishing credibility and delivering first class talent development consulting to business leaders and HR.

Business-oriented and able to understand the organization from an operational point of view as well as from a people (talent) perspective.

Typical Education

BA/BS in Business, HR, or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience

Typical Range of Experience

3-5 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role

5-7 years’ experience in Learning and Development or Human Resources related roles including leading a team

Experience with Workday a plus

Experience in consulting and partnering with business leaders and HR

Experience in developing and delivering leadership and employee development programs
