Position Title: Compensation Analyst

Business Unit: Human Resources

Reports to: Manager of Compensation

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting lines of business partners in compensation matters, maintaining and tracking the corporation’s short-term incentive compensation programs, preparing various financial reports, reviewing and analyzing financial data, performing accounting duties related to personnel costs and participating in various special projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Calculates monthly, quarterly and/or annual payouts under the corporation’s various incentive compensation and commission plans.  Ensures payouts are calculated accurately, timely and in accordance with various plan documents.

Assists in the analysis and administration of employer compensation plans by designing and maintaining plan documentation, including preparation and revision of incentive compensation plan documents.

Conducts the accounting and financial reporting of the corporation’s various incentive compensation programs. 

Develops and maintains summary matrix of all incentive compensation plans for the entire corporation.  Assists Chief Risk Officer and Manager of Compensation and Benefits Accounting with annual risk assessment of all incentive compensation plans for the entire corporation.

Prepares non-solicitation agreements and mortgage agreements for applicable new hires.  Tracks receipt and uploads the agreements into the HRIS system.

Evaluates jobs and determines pay grades through analytical research and participates in Compensation surveys. 

Works closely with members of management and Finance to prepare Salary Budget figures and monitor variances to actual throughout the year and educates management on the budget process.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
