Job Description

The Systems Analyst – IT will be based in Chennai and will support the Corporate Total Rewards function on programs/projects related to Compensation and Benefits in Flex’s Global HR system (Workday) 

Responsible for analyzing complex business problems in order to solve them with automated systems and will also be responsible for designed details for automated systems in order to make them more efficient. Responsible for providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective, in order to provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:

  • Provide day to day systems support including system configuration, business process updates, report writing and dashboard building, troubleshooting data and systems issues, recommending solutions and implementing enhancements and fixes within the context of approved methods.
  • Providing Human Resources with functional and technical support for all countries in the Benefits and  Compensation areas.
  • Systems Analysis and Design for new HR initiatives (including but not limited to partnering with HR SME’s to gather requirements, documenting processes/programs, configuring the system, participating in data conversion, building proof of concept(s), troubleshooting, testing, resolving system or process issues, implementing, and end user training.
  • Providing application configuration for various areas of Human Resources programs and business processes including but not limited to Compensation, Benefits, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service,  and vendor interfaces/integrations.
  • Leading or participating in data requirements / process design sessions, data conversion, proof-of-concept, data analysis, audit compliance, regression testing, end-user and training.
  • Facilitating team processes; writing and reviewing Unit Testing and UAT test plans and scripts when necessary. Assisting and/or managing UAT with end users including coordination and user acceptance signoff.
  • Configuring: business processes, security, integration/interfaces, and reports. Providing fit gap analysis, business process re-engineering, configuration, data conversion, application integration, testing, rollout and post-implementation support.
  • Providing business analysis and requirements gathering skills with proven ability to think outside the box and find simple solutions to complex business problems.
  • Facilitate team processes; write and review Unit Testing, UAT test plans and scripts as needed

Here is some of what you will need (required):

  • BA/BS degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of HCM, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) HR system configuration, or similar experience.
  • Experience as a Workday HCM System Administrator
  • Deep business process knowledge of workflow, workflow configuration and system relationships in the area of Human Resources specially in compensation.
  • Experience with creating functional design and integration specifications and working with technical resources (preferably in off-shore capacity).
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex problems and their resulting dependencies
  • Ability to work across geographies and different regulatory environments.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and extremely fast paced/high pressure environment collaborating and building strong relationships with customers and team members.
  • Results oriented individual with proven track record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Advanced English level.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Experience as a Workday HCM System Administrator or another similar product.
  • Technical experience in design, development, and implementation for SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integrations using web services, SOAP, XML.
  • Understanding of global data privacy and data protection policies.
