Digital Learning Designer

Role Description

The Instructional / Digital Learning Designer will creatively design and develop industry leading learning solutions using a variety of methods and tools, in support of the Global Talent Management and FNZ Academy strategy. This will be achieved through:

  • Building and maintaining creative digital learning solutions to deliver high impact & engaging learning, with a specific focus on Regulatory & Technical Training content (but will also support other Business digital learning needs).
  • Work with business Subject Matter Experts and the Talent Team to define and agree learning outcomes, content requirements and appropriate delivery mechanism
  • Own and manage the Digital Learning Global programmes of work to ensure key deliverables, timelines and priorities are achieved and communicated

This position will suit someone with a minimum of 3 years practical experience in instructional / digital learning design and related LMS administration, ideally within a similar Technology and / or financial service organisation and learning role.

Role Responsibilities

Instructional / Digital Learning Design:

  • Create storyboard / training scripts from source materials provided ensuring quality assurance and application of effective instructional design
  • Build high quality and creative digital learning content including (but not limited to) e-learning courses, video content and animations, knowledge assessments, intranet resources and other support materials
  • Scorm file testing and error resolution of digital resources pre-launch to ensure successful delivery and learner experience
  • Support the training team with creation and maintenance of the Training & Development intranet pages, communications and global training calendars, in relation to Digital Learning
  • Support projects requirements, related to training and / or employee development initiatives as required by the Head of Talent
  • Coordinating and undertaking administrative tasks to assist smooth running of the Training Department and provision of training
  • Commit to and demonstrate own personal development, and continued proficiency in instructional digital learning

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of instructional / digital learning design (including adaptive and blended learning) with a minimum of 3 years practical experience in content development
  • Knowledge of learning models to help structure content to create engaging learning courses that flows
  • Proficient in use of authoring / digital learning tools in particular Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline and Studio), Vyond and Camtasia (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience with scorm (or equivalent) testing and Learning Management Systems (ideally Workday Learning)
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Word / Powerpoint capabilities to ensure creative storyboard design
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload paying particular attention to detail
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Able to handle multiple course builds at different stages in the design process
  • Flexible and adapts to changing priorities and redirection
  • Strong presentation and time management skills

E-learning/Instructional design or learning and development related qualifications are desirable.
