Role Description

As Workday HRIS Lead you will manage the day-to-day operations of Workday, including: best practice business process/workflows, security design, and other system dependencies are in place to support users in all areas of functionality. Implementation of and support for reporting/dashboarding requirements is also a key requirement of the position. Your role will focus on ensuring FNZ is achieving optimal ROI for and full utilisation of the Workday tenant. You will partner with the Head of HRIS on the strategy of delivering a successful Workday programme with exceptional service to end users.

You will support the Head of HRIS and Executive People Leadership Team (EPLT) in their strategic information system requirements, as available in Workday, and manage small to medium scale projects. In this varied and exciting role, you must be able to spin multiple plates at the same time whilst being able to provide a consultative service to your client base. We are a high-growth and successful business and you will be expected to provide solutions and ideas to the many challenges presented by the business as it evolves.

Organisational Design

Reporting to the Head of HRIS, who reports to the Group Head of Reward (part of the EPLT), you will be strategically positioned to influence at senior levels of the organisation and will liaise with senior stakeholders from across the firm. You must be adept at developing strong, collaborative working relationship both within and outside of HR.

Team Responsibilities

As Workday Lead, you will not have any direct management responsibility; however you will have a degree of matrix management ability for a medium sized team, ranging in seniority from administrators to senior SMEs. The team members are located around the world, with the majority in the UK and Czech Republic. You should be able to work effectively across time zones and remotely (as we do operate a hybrid working model). You should have experience with and be passionate about mentoring more junior resources and helping them to expand their Workday expertise.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Workday solution

  • Manage the pipeline of M&A/TUPE activity as relates to integration into Workday

  • Support system integrations, both internal to FNZ and third-party, in gathering business requirements, executing testing, and engaging the People team

  • Support Head of HRIS and senior leadership on structural policy matters related to Workday.

  • Manage semi-annual releases, configuration updates, and any future deployments of new modules/functional areas.

  • Perform regular assessments and improvements to Workday

  • Promote Workday reporting and  data integrity through regular analysis of data and improved accessibility of data via easy dashboards and reports.

  • Work alongside the Head of HRIS in managing the Workday vendor relationship, ensuring they deliver against the contracted SLAs; facilitate renewal, due diligence, and other vendor-related processes.

  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation for any implementations and/or enhancements.

  • Support Head of HRIS with audit, compliance, and controls processes related to Workday application and activities.

  • Proactively remain abreast of Workday functionality and trends.

  • Develop close working relationships with IT, Finance, and other critical internal stakeholder groups.

  • Assist leadership on ad-hoc project work.

  • Workday HRIS Knowledge, with extensive HR experience supporting a diverse client group

  • Practical experience with Workday system administration, maintaining strict confidentiality of data and information.

  • Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business.

  • Track record of strong business partnership and cross functional collaboration; a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership.

  • Can operate well under pressure within a dynamic, fast paced environment.

  • Ability to effectively conduct virtual presentations and training sessions.

  • Articulate with excellent written communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong planning and project management skills.

  • Pro-active and able to show initiative with a positive and challenging style; consultative and able to effectively push back whilst still offering solutions.

  • Prior experience with M&A integrations into Workday of significant benefit.

  • Extensive hands-on configuration experience, particularly with regard to security, processes, and general tenant setup.

  • Knowledge of German regulations and experience with works councils highly desirable.
