      The Four Seasons New York Downtown is looking for a Operations Coordinator who fully embodies our values, shares a passion for excellence, and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. As Operations Coordinator you will be accountable for supporting our hotel operations teams.  You will be responsible for shaping the guest experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world renowned Hotel. FSNYD is recognized as a Forbes 5 Star Hotel; Forbes 5 Star Spa and AAA 5 Diamond Hotel.  

       

      This position reports to the Hotel Manager. Work authorization for the location is required.

      Responsibilities

      The Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the administrative tasks in the Food and Beverage and Rooms Divisions while ensuring guest and employee satisfaction.

      • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory and control.
      • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. 
      • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. 
      • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
      • Respond to employee issues in a timely fashion.
      • Assist management staff with internal investigations.
      • Act as a liaison between the operations managers and the administrative managers.

      Preferred Qualifications and Skills

      We are looking for an individual who possesses solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Apply an ethical approach and serve as a role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct.

      We are looking for candidates who are proactive self starters. Hotel operations experience is a plus. Technical knowledge of Food and Beverage Division and Rooms Division is also a plus.

      Ability to read, write and speak English is required.

      This position involves a heavy volume of administrative work and requires organizational skill. Excellent Excel and computer skills are an advantage. ADP, Opera, HotSOS, Rex, Micros, and Workday systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
