FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
The position will be responsible for managing a team of Payroll Specialists to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and union collective bargaining agreements.
Overseeing day-to-day payroll processing to ensure all payroll tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions, issues and concerns.
Collaborating with HR and Finance departments to ensure information is integrated as expected to the payroll system.
Generating reports for union and non-union reporting requirements.
Performing audits of employee earnings and deductions to identify or resolve any discrepancies or errors.
Answering employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Auditing paid time off accrual balances, based on Company policy or union requirements.
Assisting with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and tax reporting.
Providing recommendations and implementing process improvement steps to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate.
Must possess a strong understanding of payroll procedures and payroll tax regulations and have experience supervising a team. Must have experience working with multi-state payrolls and union payrolls. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required. Must be able to follow-through on pending items and prioritize accordingly. Additionally, must be able to communicate effectively and have ability to work well as a liaison between the staff and senior management. The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience in Payroll and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Must be proficient in using payroll software (Workday Payroll is preferred) and Time & Attendance software. In addition, must have advanced Excel skills, including working knowledge of V-lookups and Pivot tables. CPP Certification preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $145,000.00-160,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
