JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Corporation is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Accounting team in support of our Digital and Tech organization.  Responsibilities include supporting and participating in the monthly close, managing capital assets ledgers, subledgers, depreciation and other activities related to capitalization.  

In addition, the Financial Analyst operates as a liaison between operational leads and suppliers monitors purchase orders and supplier invoices and payments working cross functionally with our finance team, and the Capital FP&A team in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Month-End Close/General Accounting  

  • Monthly and quarterly cyclical closings for capital assets, including review, verification, and compliance of third-party provided goods and services with capital policies; proper codification, and general ledger recording
  • Capital-related spend research, analysis, depreciation calculations, and preparing/posting journal entries for third-party costs, from the P&L and balance sheet perspective, along with periodic balance validations
  • Liaise and partner with operational leads and planning team to answer capital expense and variance questions and inquiries 
  • Monitor, track, and report requisitions, purchase orders, and third-party supplier invoices

Principal Partner and Procure-to-Pay Process

  • Support the vendor management and invoicing process, including answering vendor inquiries, overseeing invoice processing, working closely with cross-functional teams to secure appropriate approvals, and resolving payment issues
  • Main point of contact with AP and responsible for facilitating the end-to-end process for onboarding and guiding new vendors through internal systems and processes, as well as continuity with existing vendors
  • Partner with cross-functional operational teams in interpreting, analyzing, and setting contracts for purchase order creation and invoice receipt
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and identify opportunities for operational improvements

Other Activities 

  • Partner with the Planning and Analysis team during month-end and budget/forecast cycles
  • Assist with preparing presentations and supporting materials for management presentations
  • Support Internal and External Audit requests 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or STEM field
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (Pivot Tables, large data set)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on the “whole picture” and reasoning related to responsibilities
  • Foundational understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and its implications 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking with attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent follow-up
  • Ability to summarize data in a clear and concise manner and communicate effectively to different stakeholder

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $35.09-38.46 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
