JOB DESCRIPTION

The Financial Analyst is an integral member of the Network and Studio Production Finance team. This team member will play a key role in providing accurate, and complete financial information while preserving the integrity of the financial records at the company’s periodical financial close. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for vendor onboarding, obligation settlement, and cost tracking of licensed and internally produced content. Duties will include obligation settlement reconciliation; review of contractual agreements needed to substantiate all programming and production payments and assist with any ongoing audit deliverables. Furthermore, they will be closely working with both internal and external partners and will be encouraged to work independently and strive to complete all functions and responsibilities in the most accurate and timely fashion. A successful Financial Analyst will need to have good communication skills, attention to detail, proactive drive to work both independently and as a team member to support the Finance group functions.  

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review contractual agreements to support programming and production obligations
  • Support vendor onboarding
  • Provide vendor support through the entire settlement
  • Work directly with internal partners to help corroborate payments through a review of contractual agreements
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to Financial close activities
  • Maintain complete and accurate records relating to the company’s obligations to content development and production
  • Assist with external and internal audit deliverables
  • Support the finance group with ad-hoc projects on a needed basis

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 0 – 2 years of accounting/ internship experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of pivot tables and basic Excel formulas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to work overtime when necessary
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Workday Financials knowledge
  • Comfortable working with large data
  • CPA license or on track to obtain accreditation
  • Big 4 to mid-size accounting experience
  • Entertainment industry experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $29.25-38.70 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
