JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Corporations is looking for a Payroll Business Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The Payroll Business Analyst will provide functional Workday Payroll and Time and Attendance support, analytical and process support, ad-hoc internal payroll reports and play a key role in delivering and supporting Payroll initiatives. Â This position requires a personable individual who is highly focused on operational excellence and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support from initiation to completion for Workday issues and change requests submitted by Payroll, including participation and/or support of user acceptance testing
- Work with the Payroll team ongoingly to ensure all Payroll FOXPay issues are recorded in the JIRA system and prioritized
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flowcharts for all payroll processes to ensure complete, accurate, and up-to-date depiction of processes
- Serve as a functional Workday Payroll and Time and Attendance SME
- Analyze current Workday payroll and time and attendance processes and make recommendations for improvement or simplification
- Develop, report, and review payroll metrics to identify trends and process improvement opportunities, escalating issues and proposed solutions as appropriate
- Assist in the development of a payroll metrics dashboard
- Work with the Payroll team to identify changes to newly negotiated collective bargaining agreements and create a project plan of action items to implement changes
- Perform union wage and benefit retro calculations as needed in support of collective bargaining agreement changes
- Reconcile and process union benefit remittances
- Administer union benefit audits
- Provide ad-hoc analysis as requested by the Payroll leadership team
- Manage specific project assignments and participate in functional or cross-functional task groups and project teams as assigned
- Build strong working relationships with teammates, cross-functional departments, and management
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- 5 years of experience as a Workday Payroll and Time and Attendance functional matter expert
- 5 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in union and entertainment industry
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills to effectively research and extract pertinent data and information from multiple sources to provide guidance and/or resolve issues
- Ability to interpret union collective bargaining agreements
- Strong communication, documentation, and flowcharting skills
- Experience with case management tools and metric reporting
- Intermediate Excel using VLOOKUP’s, pivots, and charts
- Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Recent and relevant experience working in high-volume, multi-state, multi-entity payroll environment
- Technical knowledge of Payroll functions and laws and regulations impacting payroll
- Working knowledge of online meeting and collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $80,000.00-88,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
