JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Sports Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. Your primary responsibility will be monitoring the short and long-term business goals and performance of Fox Corporation sports portfolio (NFL, MLB, College Sports, NASCAR, FIFA, etc.), national sports cable networks (FS1 and Fox Deportes), and Fox Sports Digital. This will include assisting with preparation of the annual budget, long-range plan, quarterly reforecasts and monthly financial deliverables for the sports divisions. You will also provide financial support to operations groups as it relates to tracking and analyzing costs and will have the opportunity to collaborate with finance team members across various businesses in the company.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the completion of the annual budget, long-range plan, quarterly reforecasts and preparation of financial deliverables
  • Work with accounting department to close the books on a monthly basis, including providing adequate supporting documentation for proposed journal entries
  • Assist with the completion of various financial reporting requirements, including month-end reporting, weekly flash reporting, and quarterly reporting
  • Analyze key performance indicator trends and variances versus budget/forecast/prior year
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing costs against approved commitments, including collaborating with the Accounting, Marketing, Consumer Research, Project Management, Engineering, Production and Digital groups
  • Understand, review and summarize key business drivers impacting operating performance through the course of financial closes and planning cycles for financial reporting purposes
  • Build and maintain third-party billing schedules
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
  • Set up suppliers in AP system and process invoices and payments

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum three years of experience in financial analysis or accounting
  • High analytical skills
  • Strong GAAP knowledge
  • Work well under time constraints
  • Work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA
  • Knowledge of Workday ERP system
  • Sports/Entertainment industry experience
