Job Description
Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 Firm and the leading global immigration services provider, is searching for a Human Resources Specialist in our Miami Office.
Reporting to a Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will support HR operations and strategy and be a part of the larger corporate Human Resources team at Fragomen, more specifically providing HR support for our Miami and other offices along the East Coast.
How will you make a difference as a Human Resources Specialist at Fragomen:
· Conduct new hire onboarding and review policies and procedures with new and existing employees
· Assist with accurately maintaining HRIS (Workday) and other systems as needed
· Assist with recruiting, processing new hires and offboarding tasks in Workday and conducting offboarding interviews with departing employees
· Prepare new hire orientation folders
· Create new hire training schedule
· Conduct Workday and time tracking training for new hires
· Review and approve Workday Time tracking records for some non-exempt staff
· Act as a liaison between employees and HR
· Partner with and assist other team members across the Region
· Assist in the implementation and enforcement of office policies
· Update labor law posters/guidelines
· Respond to reference checks, employment verifications, character forms for bar examiners, etc.
· Approve and allocate invoices for contingent employees
· Participate on bi-monthly HR Team calls
· Assess morale level, collect feedback and assist in maintaining a positive working environment
· Assist with preparation of organization charts for the Miami office
· Assist with planning special office events and firm programs
· Work on special projects and ad hoc requests
· Perform other duties as assigned
Let's talk if you have the following qualifications and experience:
· Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources or related field
· A HR Internship or 1-2 years of Human Resources experience
· Workday HRIS experience preferred, but we will train
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Experience in a professional services environment preferred
· Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with employees at various levels
· Proven ability to work effectively with executive level management
