The Director of Talent Acquisition will develop and manage a wide and dynamic funnel of qualified job candidates to further meet staffing needs at the University. While leading the employee recruitment processes for the University, the Director will also be responsible for streamlining the hiring processes and procedures to shorten the time from candidate prospect to employment. The Director will assist in the development of a Recruitment Department along with a Recruitment Brand for the University and develop processes to attract those candidates who connect with the Full Sail University Mission, Values and Guiding Principles. Recruitment will be nationwide. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all recruiting activities to deliver best-in-class employee candidates.
  • Will oversee the compliance of all internal and external regulations concerning the recruitment and selection process to include compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity rules and to ensure there are no unfair hiring practices.
  • Create and maintain recruiting databases and prepare reports to monitor employee retention rates by department and create other ROI reports.
  • Responsible for all aspects of staffing and leading the Talent Acquisition team including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, payroll, and reviewing. This includes the review of resumes and conducting initial phone interviews.  This position will interview, select, hire and train, set rate of pay and hours worked, appraise productivity, plan and assign work, discipline employees, determine work techniques, and determines what types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed.
  • This position will have the authority to hire or fire the Talent Acquisition team members or make recommendations that carry particular weight as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion or any other change in status.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the further development of Employee Orientation and Onboarding programs and participate in Staff Development initiatives as needed.
  • Will ensure job prospects meet required job requirements and credential requirements.
  • Faculty credential requirements must be adhered to when hiring faculty.

Competencies:

  • Great Communication Skills to engage prospects, Human Resource staff, Hiring Managers, Employee Referral Sources.
  • Must be able to build strong relationships to deliver results in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other related field required.
  • At least five years experience in Employee Recruitment required.
  • Workday experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Higher Education is a plus.

  • n/a

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Knowledge of Workday a plus. Must know Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must be familiar with online human resource recruiting tools.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping.
