About this role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HRIS Operations Manager / Associate Director, tasked with a leading a global team of HRIS Analysts to support Workday and other HR technology platforms deployed to our employees spread over 38 countries.  This role is critical to elevating the quality and timeliness with which Gartner utilizes technology to scale and enable not only the HR function, but our entire global workforce.

The HRIS Manager/Associate Director provides staff management, operational leadership and demonstrates excellence in execution.  This role sits within the HRIS organization and requires a leader with a strong customer orientation, experience building a world-class support team, an understanding of HR & Recruiting processes and expert technical knowledge of Workday to provide coaching and advanced solution support to the team.

What you’ll do:

  • Recruit and develop a highly motivated team of staff tasked with Tier 2 support for HR systems
  • Develop guidelines for, and train staff on customer service excellence
  • Manage adherence to Service Level Agreements and quality expectations
  • Ensure alignment with all approval processes, compliance and data privacy requirements
  • Execute and lead quality assurance efforts to ensure the accuracy of data and information
  • Support team in resolving the most challenging of technical issues, coaching and developing advanced issue diagnosis and resolution approaches
  • Develop standards, guidelines, checklists and procedural documents to enable consistent execution, knowledge management, and rapid re-deployment of staff in coverage situations
  • Lead with a continuous improvement philosophy, evolving operational processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage against the Adoption Roadmap and ensuring the resolution of priority issues
  • Localized leadership in the APAC time zone for the capture of business requirements and challenges that can be better enabled through our technology platforms
  • Partnership with the HRIS leadership team to develop a holistic function that optimizes global resources and processes that lead to the best outcomes for our customers and support innovation of our platforms
  • Remain apprised of the evolution of the HRIS platforms as they pertain to the Gartner operating environment to further improve value of HRIS
  • Support change management efforts relative to the digital transformation and technology advancements

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience building & leading world-class HR technology support teams
  • 3+ years’ Workday experience
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Superior customer service orientation with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes
  • Proven ability to work as part of a distributed leadership team
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and motivated to achieve goals and exceed expectations
  • Exceptional time management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and ensure staff meet deadlines
  • Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • High level of executive presence
  • Change management experience desirable
