Your Role

As a Gensler Sr. Human Resources Generalist, you will provide support to the Costa Rica Human Resources organization on all HR-related issues, including new hires, orientation, performance management, employee relations, and terminations, as well as special projects. This position will report into the Human Resources Manager to develop and execute HR programs and support.

What You Will Do

  • Provide HR consulting and support to our Costa Rica operations. 
  • Under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager, act as a coach/counsel to team members and managers regularly in highly sensitive, confidential, or complex situations.
  • Administer, monitor, coordinate, maintain, and ensure compliance with areas that may include affirmative action, anti-discrimination, health and safety programs, as well as laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing data analytics and recommending courses of action.
  • Manage and enhance the onboarding and new hire process and experience.  
  • Lead and participate in culture engagement initiatives and programs.  
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continuously improve the department's efficiency and the services it performs.
  • Collaborate on project teams to develop and execute new programs, tools, and policies within the company.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Facilitate or support conflict resolution in employee relations matters.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for HR guidelines.
  • Other HR activities and duties that pertain to the role.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, including talent management, employee relations and compensation responsibilities.
  • Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).  
  • Experience supporting corporate and professional roles.  
  • Workday experience strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with ability to produce timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking, influencing, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
