POSITION OVERVIEW

To create, deliver, and administrate talent development programs through individual contribution on behalf of Gentex Corporation. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Organize, facilitate and continue to improve established training programs. Collect attendance and complete training records in our Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support department objectives by managing projects, identifying, and escalating project obstacles, completing all deliverables on or before deadline, providing consistent communicating on project status, supporting project deployment and modifying programs to reconcile customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal and/or external subject matter experts to create innovative training programs to achieve customer objectives and business needs.
  • Monitor and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed accurately and consistently.
  • Manage, track and submit all regulatory requirements for applicable Department of Labor (DOL) apprenticeship programs including Journey worker Electrician and Machinist programs.
  • Manage relationships with internal customers to connect them with Talent Development programs and solutions to help them achieve Learning & Development (L&D) objectives.
  • Schedule training program content review sessions with Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) according to content review calendar, make suggested changes for improvements, and perform maintenance as needed to material.
  • Maintain LMS employee records to ensure compliance in all audit categories.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback for other Talent Development Specialists in support of the Gentex Performance Review process.
  • Manage relationship with external vendor for all communication training content and materials.
  • Manage and deliver orientation processes on-site for all incoming domestic hires.
  • Manage talent development calendar of events and ensure SOPs are followed for customer communication and event set-up as well as vendor services and contract support.
  • Use participant survey data to improve, refine, and streamline each training programs efficacy.
  • Provide instructor led-facilitation of all training programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.    
  • Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.

WHAT TO BRING

  • 2-Year Degree in education, business, training and development or another related field. 4-Year degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in human resources, business administration, public speaking or training/development role.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Workday Learning Management System.

WHAT WILL HELP

  • Professional Training certification and experience preferred.   
  • Experience learning and working with new software platforms.
