The Location: This position is located in Carlsbad, California at our corporate headquarters. We offer a flexible work-from-home schedule, with a few days in the office per month.

Job Overview:

Lead cost focused sourcing for designated category for GIA. Develop and lead supplier relationships including monitoring performance versus expectations. Assist the Director of Global Procurement in developing the sourcing strategy, tactics and key activities for the designated category.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost focused sourcing for designated category for GIA.
  • Develop and lead the overall supplier relationship including monitoring performance versus expectations. Ensure supplier relationships deliver significant value to GIA.
  • Ensure proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy and ethics.
  • Engage and collaborate with peers and other team members across the Institute to deliver best practices and accelerated results.
  • Monitor sourcing strategy to ensure delivery on cost savings targets.
  • Build and ensure strong client relationships with GIA stakeholders in designated category. Influence business needs as appropriate.
  • Maintain thorough market knowledge and share expertise with GIA stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper stewardship for procurement transactions and purchases comply with internal control requirements.
  • Process requisitions/purchase orders in a timely manner and ensure proper procurement transactions are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years’ procurement experience preferably in indirect spend areas.
  • CPSM, mCIPS, CPM or equiva

The pay range for this position is $55,00-$75,000.
