About The Role:

To ensure data integrity and provide timely support to the business for all Giant Tiger compensation and recognition programs.

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 1 day a week.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Conduct data audits and analysis to ensure data integrity; identify discrepancies; coordinate with all relevant internal stakeholder to make corrections. Review and complete miscellaneous compensation tasks, as requested. 

  • Monitor and approve compensation related tasks in Workday and client facing email inbox, ensuring all compensation changes adhere to plan rules and questions are answered in a complete and timely manner. Escalate inquiries, as required.

  • Administer the years of service and retirement programs ensuring all recognition milestones are captured in our third-party provider platform. 

  • Track one-time payments requests from HR Operations, ensuring all payments are accurately loaded into Workday by the required deadline.

  • Ensure compliance with Quebec pay equity legislation by completing annual filings, as well as, intial filings and maintenance filings every 5-years for all Quebec Giant Tiger locations (Stores & MBO).

  • Establish new employee perk (discounts) opportunities with third-party providers, and administer existing employee perk programs.

  • Create and maintain 'how to' documents for all regularly recurring processes, and maintain the Total Rewards section on the GT Hub (intranet). ​

What You’ll Bring:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Business or HR.

  • 1-2 years of professional work experience in an administrative capacity.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail and maintain confidential information.

  • Confident oral and written communicator in English and French. Fluently bilingual.

  • Some knowledge of provincial legislation Canada-wide, in particular, pay equity and pay transparency.

  • Knowledge of Workday

  • Intermediate Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, pivots, etc) ​
