About The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Workday Implementation Team Lead to enhance Giant Tiger's Workday HCM solutions. This role is accountable for implementing new Workday modules and updated features that bring value to the organization and end users. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in systems implementation, support, and testing while combining technical proficiency with critical thinking and a strong understanding of business needs.

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a fully remote schedule. Occasional travel to Ottawa Home Office is required on an annual basis.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Implement new functional areas of Workday, ensuring thorough testing and impact analysis on existing configurations.

  • Serve as the Lead for Workday Talent, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, and Scheduling modules.

  • Manage implementation evolution requests requiring medium to advanced Workday configurations.

  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure the accuracy of worker data and configurations ahead of feature releases.

  • Identify and review key resources in the Workday community to stay up to date on new features and relevant activities or warnings in assigned functional areas.

  • Complete testing, auditing, and impact analysis of bi-annual Workday feature releases.

  • Translate stakeholder requests into requirements, accurately assessing business needs and providing reliable solutions.

  • Develop test scenarios in alignment with HRIS testing strategies and execute functional, negative, and end-to-end tests for assigned projects, change requests, and Workday releases.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Technology, Human Resources, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of Workday capabilities and touchpoints between functional areas.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Workday Talent and Advanced Compensation in a retail environment.

  • Experience working in an HR environment with knowledge of HR processes and policies.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, system mindset, testing best practices, and impact analysis.

  • Ability to apply Workday concepts across multiple functional areas.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide guidance, articulate concerns, and influence stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements

  • May travel occasionally during implementations to home office in Ottawa
