Treasury Accountant

Reporting of the Role

This role reports to the Treasury Manager

Overview of job

The key elements of the role are to assist the Treasury Manager in the production of cash forecasts, covenant workings and other treasury related reports. Also collaborating with the Treasury assistant on production of daily cash reports as required.

Measures of success – 

In the first few months, you would have

  • Harmonized the production of the covenant reports for bank compliance
  • Developed the combined 13-week cash flow forecast processes
  • Launched the updated daily finance reports
  • Refined the cash reporting from the Workday system to meet business needs

Responsibilities of the role

  • Partnering with the Business in regards to the production of the weekly 13-week cash forecast
  • Preparation of the quarterly reporting for bank covenants
  • Oversight of the daily cash reports and the intercompany process
  • Preparation and review of reconciliations in relation to cash, borrowings and intercompany
  • Assisting in the development of medium- and long-term group cash flow forecasting models
  • Taking care of external auditors of any requests of cash, borrowings and intercompany
  • Working with the Treasury manager on other finance related reporting

What you will need

The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:

  • A confirmed ability to build relationships and work as a treasury accountant within a company, demonstrating confidence, strong influencing skills and excellent verbal and written communication
  • You’ll need to be a lateral thinker who can resolve problems and deliver solutions to the business, whilst at the same time ensuring we stick to the rules and audit requirements are met
  • To demonstrate a track record of leading change, improvement and challenge through an organisation or department
  • Evidence of a strong attention to detail
  • Achievement of career development in a dynamic organization!
  • Part-qualification with a recognised accountancy body is desirable, but not required
