The Human Resources Coordinator owns the full life cycle of people transactions at Goodwin. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the liaison with the Legal and Professional Staff Talent Acquisition teams, the HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT and Office Administration to proactively handle all new hire transactions and all necessary administration to ensure a successful and smooth onboarding process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process and ensure quality control of employee life cycle data in the firm’s HRIS and time entry systems, including but not limited to: new hires, terminations, department changes, title changes, and salary increases.

  • Partner with HRIS to develop processes and improve efficiencies while ensuring overall data integrity.

  • Create, review and audit HR process guides.

  • Produce routine HRIS reports including running weekly and monthly personnel reports.

  • Coordinate the on-boarding of new hires, including but not limited to: scheduling orientation meetings, conducting new hire orientation, collection of paperwork, including form I-9.

  • Assist with the organization and management of personnel files including regular filing, conducting routine file audits and purging files to ensure compliance standards are being met.

  • Assist employees with questions related to time off, general benefit offerings, and other HR related policies/practices.

  • Point of contact for employee verification requests and unemployment claims.

  • Act as a liaison to the firm’s payroll department.

  • Ongoing maintenance of the HR intranet page.

  • Process HR invoices and unidentified mail.

  • Provide backup to HR Assistants and Coordinators in the HR department, including answering phones and directing callers appropriately.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelors /Associates Degree required or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience.  Law firm or professional services industry experience a plus.

  • A minimum of 1 years of experience working with HRIS systems and processing employee life-cycle changes.  Workday experience a plus.

  • Working in a professional services environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment.

  • Excellent judgment skills. Must be poised, professional and able to take a pro-active and collaborative approach to work and projects.

  • Must have a high level of integrity and  be able to respect, protect and maintain a strict level of confidentiality.

  • Strong HRIS systems experience; Workday preferred.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with Visio and PowerPoint a plus.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and proofreading skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.
