The Workday Recruitment Product Owner forms part of the HR Tech Workday team and has ownership and responsibility for the product domains covering Workday Recruitment and Onboarding.
This role is accountable for designing and delivering the roadmap that will enhance the Recruitment footprint of Workday; supporting GSK strategic priorities, process automation/efficiency opportunities and improving user experience through delivery of innovative business process solutions. This includes the implementation of new Workday functionality and business process integration with the wider GSK Recruitment application landscape.
This role is also responsible for managing a team providing L3 support for Workday Recruitment to ensure continuity of service and working closely with the GA&D Operations team/third parties to complete root cause analysis and develop appropriate fixes and enhancements.
The Product Owner is recognized as the go to SME for their product, working collaboratively and adaptively to constantly meet the needs of their customers and deliver value to GSK.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy: Maximizing the business value of Workday Recruitment products via a product vision (roadmap), release strategy and refined Product Backlog.

Demand management: Refines and prioritizes the Product Backlog continually together with stakeholders and the delivery team taking into account functional and non-functional requirements to produce the product set with the highest business value.

Governance: Responsible for representing Workday Recruitment and Onboarding in governance boards such as Steering, Change Board and Design Authority (acting as functional design authority for the Workday Recruitment product sets and ensuring compliance to best practice and fit with and GSK’s overall recruitment strategy).

Innovation: Initiate, lead and actively collaborate with Workday, other customers and suppliers with regards to innovation of the Workday Recruitment product sets and associated business processes.

Product Design & Delivery: Design and deliver the optimal set of products and services which meets the business strategy and requirements. Accountable for planning and owning the execution of the Recruitment product roadmap using Agile methodologies. The incumbent will provide high level system solutioning and detailed designs and manage the team to deliver functional changes and wider impact assessments. The ability to think big picture and customer first is imperative.

Quality, Risk & Compliance: Responsible for ensuring all Recruitment products within the domain are compliant with internal security, privacy and risk management policies and practices, as well as external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g. GxP, SARBOX.

Overseeing Product Development: Responsible for overseeing the overall product development process including planning, refinement, review, sprint planning and release. Ensure quality and monitor progress throughout each iteration.

Service Management: Responsible for ensuring that any changes are delivered in accordance with the service levels that are in place, partnering with the Operations team to ensure adherence to those SLAs, and directly managing any Level 3 support issues and escalations.

People Management:Â Accountable for line managing staff developing and supporting the Workday Recruitment products through a mixture of GSK employees, contingent workers and strategic suppliers. Ensure ongoing succession planning and knowledge transfer to maintain continuity of service to the business. Build and maintain Workday Recruitment knowledge and functional configuration capability within the team.

Stakeholder Management: Accountable for partnering with Stakeholders across the Workday Team, HR Tech, Process Owners, Recruitment Operations, other BU Tech Product Owners and Tech Delivery Leads; managing expectations and ensuring alignment on Service Level Agreements and change/user acceptance.
Basic Qualifications:

At least 5 years+ experience with Workday HCM system configuration and deep understanding of HR processes.

Extensive knowledge and experience of configuring and supporting the Workday Recruitment module.

Experience building custom reports in Workday.

Knowledge of end to end Recruitment processes in a large global organization, including third party systems used to deliver them.

Degree or relevant experience in a major global Tech or HRIS Organization.

Track record in successful Workday product roadmap development, Workday solution design, product delivery and service management.

Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions.

Experience managing a team to deliver a Workday product backlog.

Experience of working with third-party vendors, in particular Tech/BPO outsourcing.

Excellent relationship management, strong influencing and communication skills.

Understanding of IT service management for a complex, global service.
Nice to have:

Workday HCM or Recruitment certification preferred.

Experience using Agile methodologies and managing a Product portfolio using Jira or similar tool.

Project management certification.

Experience of other Workday modules (e.g Time Tracking and Absence, Compensation, Performance & Talent, Integration, Workday Extend, Reporting).
