Why You?

Workday product experts are part of the Workday product teams within the GSK HR Tech department forming part of the wider Global Functions Digital and Tech (GFDT) function.

This role sits alongside other Workday functional experts and serves as a liaison between HR and other GSK tech departments to provide Workday solution design/analysis, system configuration and support to ensure that Workday supports GSK strategic priorities, meets user experience expectations and takes advantage of new features and automation opportunities.

Workday Functional Experts are recognized as the go to SME for their product area, working collaboratively and adaptively to constantly meet the needs of their customers and deliver value to GSK.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will…

  • Identify appropriate Workday solutions to individual business requirements and evaluate options based on the highest business value and considering overall end to end user experience.

  • Responsible for system configuration and blueprint control of Workday configuration to support global/local enhancements or change requests supplying to ongoing maintenance and enhancement of GSK’s global HR system.

  • Establish business value, lead delivery and service performance and lead business risk within the scope of their product. Responsible for representing the product in governance boards such as Steering and Design Authority.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of product area including active participation in Workday user communities, awareness of wider GSK HR processes, awareness of ongoing Workday roadmap and in-depth understanding of the impact of the Workday bi-annual and weekly releases on the aligned functional area.

  • Partnering with team members on solution requirements, testing and deployment across the Workday Team, HR Tech, HR Process Owners and in-country HR teams.

  • Providing Tier 3 customer service support for technical issues related to the usage or functionality of Workday in supported product area. Ensuring that any issues and changes are delivered in accordance with the service levels that are in place and working to represent HR Tech and the Workday system in a positive manner.

  • Ensure that release management procedures are rigorously adhered to and work closely with HR process counterparts on ensuring that any organizational change required is completed as part of the release process.

  • Accountable for running and managing product specific test scenarios to test Workday and GSK delivered enhancements, changes and upgrades. As part of testing process, identify gaps and understand the wider impacts of changes to other Workday product areas, HR processes as well as downstream systems.

  • Quality, Risk & Compliance: Responsible for ensuring all changes made are compliant with internal security, privacy and risk management policies and practices, as well as external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g. GxP, SARBOX.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for engineers with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • 2+ years of Workday Time & Absence experience supporting customers in an implementation or postproduction support capacity, highly desired.

  • Be IT literate in standard Microsoft packages and have considerable Workday functional system configuration or equivalent experience in Core HCM, Absence & Time Tracking modules.

  • Good overall understanding of Workday functionality (e.g core HCM, security, integration, recruiting, talent & performance, compensation, time tracking, absence and payroll).

  • Sound knowledge of HR systems and processes with experience in HR system configuration or support.

  • In depth knowledge of Absence and Time Tracking processes and systems required to support them.

  • Notable ability to build and maintain good working relationships with partners.

  • Experience managing large data sets with a sound knowledge of advanced MS Excel.

  • Solid understanding of Workday’s system administration (version releases, regression testing and tenant management).

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Knowledge of Workday reporting and calculated fields.

  • Experience with Workday, ServiceNow and Jira

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certifications in Absence Management & Time Tracking or HCM required.
