As a Manager of Direct Tax, you will support the Director of Direct Tax in all aspects of U.S. federal, state and foreign income tax return compliance. You'll also be responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement and SEC tax disclosures.

What you’ll do:
- Prepare, assist, and/or review U.S. federal, state, and local corporate and partnership tax returns.
- Assist with collaboration with outside tax advisors in the preparation of U.S. income tax returns.
- Coordinate with local tax advisors with preparation of foreign income tax returns.
- Prepare, assist, and/or review quarterly and year-end tax provisions including current and deferred taxes in accordance with ASC 740.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures following SOX controls.
- Prepare, assist, and/or review the Tax Receivable Agreement calculations, compliance, and reporting.
- Manage income tax notices and assist with income tax audits.
- Prepare, assist and/or review intercompany transfer pricing.
- Maintain tax accounting policies, procedures, and internal control documentation in accordance with SOX.
- Assist with monitoring legislative and regulatory changes in tax laws.
- Perform technical tax and tax accounting research and develop recommendations as required.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Seek opportunities for improvement and efficiencies within the tax team and provide recommendations.
- Maintain direct tax calendar and manage timelines.
- Play a key role in growing, managing and developing the tax team.
This might describe you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- Extensive relevant direct tax experience
- U.S. Corporate taxation and multi-state direct tax compliance experience
- Experience with ASC 740 and preparation of annual and interim tax provisions
- Strong accounting, analytical and research skills
- Ability to successfully handle pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, detail oriented work environment
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, apply, and document applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies
- Highly responsive, action and solution-oriented, excellent problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Ability to provide clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work collaboratively and successfully with employees, external parties including regulatory bodies and third-party CPA firms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate, improvise, multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity of public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable
Over and above:
- CPA a plus
- Experience with partnership taxation a plus
- Experience with umbrella partnership corporation (UP-C) structure a plus
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Experience with transfer pricing a plus
