Recruiters at The Hartford are responsible for surfacing and leveraging market intel to guide and influence hiring managers, hiring decisions and outcomes. They seek and leverage market intel and utilize strong consultative and evaluation skills to recruit internal and external talent for professional insurance roles across multiple business lines and locations. Recruiting responsibilities which are aligned to this role include underwriting, product, project management, agile, risk engineering as well as sales, analytics, administrative and product at professional management levels.
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage a requisition work bench of professional-level requisitions and
develop appropriate recruiting strategies
* Leverage a variety of sourcing tools available to identify, engage and
court a variety of insurance talent to The Hartford
* Routinely utilize and stay updated on AI/Gen AI advancements and their
applications in recruiting; be an active learner and adapt quickly to new
technologies
* Partner with the HRBPs, Compensation partners and Talent Lead to
build out the talent strategy bringing insights into business reviews,
including competitive intelligence, labor market impacts, candidate
sentiment
* Conduct research and ongoing recruiting activities to identify and attract
highly competitive candidates for key roles at The Hartford
* Use passive and direct sourcing techniques, seeking new methods when
needed, to identify and attract prospective candidates; is creative and
solution oriented
* Manage hiring negotiations, including compensation, relocation, and
counter-offers
Qualifications:
* Three (3) or more years of sourcing, candidate development and
recruiting experience in a corporate recruiting environment
* Proven track record of developing, assessing, and attracting talent; P&C
insurance industry, preferred
* Experience building a candidate network and hiring sales, product,
project management, agile roles and underwriting is strongly preferred
* Proven relationship building and consultative skills with the ability to
effectively influence hiring decisions and outcomes
* Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, and intellectual curiosity;
seeks to understand patterns, leverages strong relationships with key
stakeholders including business partners, Human Resources, and
compensation to influence decisions
* Ability to understand and manage expectations of business partners
while providing a high level of customer satisfaction
* Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, deadline-oriented
environment
* Excellent communication, influence management, and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of Workday Recruiting and LinkedIn recruiting tools is
strongly preferred
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$84,800 – $127,200
