HR Systems Workday Analyst – Core HCM

HR Systems leads and manages HP's HR Systems, Data and Technology Enablement. Human Resources recognize us as the first stop for "the what" in systems enablement, as experts in providing solutions support to complex business problems, and as the gateway to IT.

Position Description:

The HRIS Workday Analyst position in the HR Systems organization primary responsibility is to provide technical solutions around HP's Core Human Capital Management System (HCM) functionality, business processes and configuration.  

Key skills needed for this position include experience in Workday configuration, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to present complex topics to diverse audiences. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage Workday and other HR systems configuration.

  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Workday and other HR systems to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs.

  • Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most appropriate technical application or configuration solutions

  • Solicit, develop, document, test and manage business and technical requirements and provide detailed design and business rules to support the requirements throughout project life cycle up to and through change control

  • Basic level knowledge of system architectures and software development methodologies

  • Understand dependencies of all relevant systems that impact HR data

  • Create detailed implementation plans and update project plans in collaboration with other system analysts

  • Support any system issues and partner with IT as necessary to troubleshoot or resolve problems

  • Assist with and/or manage documentation, including user guides, training materials, and release notes

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Workday Core HCM configuration and HR functional areas

  • Detail oriented with superior analytical, problem solving, pragmatism and organization skills

  • Strong personal networking skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

  • Proven experience working in project oriented high-performing teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex business and technical topics to a wide array of business, technical, and executive audiences

  • Independent worker and definite self-starter.

  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and professionalism

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or a closely related discipline

  • Minimum of 2-6 years’ experience in HR or technical related area
